"Vikki von Koopa" Digital Illustration

To differentiate from the majority of the fanart community during the #bowsette movement, I decided to pick a different character from the Super Mario franchise.

I used this work to practice new lighting/shadow techniques.

Used "Krita" app for Windows for concept, ink, and coloring final composition.

Implemented another shadow/lighting technique: three shadow layers, one colored highlight layer, one backlight layer to enhance presence.

First pass: tried using two layers of shadow and one highlight layer.
